First Review (ever!) of the first book I’ve read in 2013!

So this is my first review! YAY! I’m so excited!

But before I start the review I want to tell you guys a little bit more about myself. Like I mentioned before I’m a sophomore at the University of North Florida today is the second day of classes and I love every single class, yay! I grew up in Orlando, FL with my mom and my dog 😉 I was in band for seven years before I stopped when I came to college. I’m just generally an arsty person. Anything remotely creative I like to do and it can be anything from art to theatre to reading and writing, it’s all fun to me. I’ve always been passionate about reading something I don’t get from my mother 🙂 and so this is me just trying to share my passion with other people 🙂

So enough chitchat! On to the review:

So the very first book that caught my attention was Hopeless by Colleen Hoover.Hopeless

I’ve been following this author since I read her first book Slammed and I just fell in love with her writing style. One thing I always ask myself when I read a book is, if the author were to take out the romance would the story still make sense? Would it still have a plot? And with Colleen the answer is yes.

Hopeless is about a girl named Sky. After being home schooled her whole life her mom finally allows her to go to public school for her senior year of high school. But as it turns out public school isn’t all that great and when she meets Dean Holder her year gets a lot more interesting. She can’t figure him out, he scares her but she’s wildly attracted to him. She doesn’t know what it is about him that intrigues her but as secrets start coming out  Sky’s life will change forever.

This book had me on the edge of my seat from page one. I was constantly wondering where the plot was heading towards. I laughed, cried, and can say that I truly enjoyed this book. It does have some mature content, nothing super racy but it’s not for everyone.

I give this 4 out of 5 stars! 🙂

Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions of similar books and such!

Hope you’ve had a FANTASTIC Day!

Nathalie ❤
