According to her website, Sara Ney is the USA Today Bestselling Author of the How to Date a Douchebag series, and is best known for her sexy, laugh-out-loud New Adult romances. Among her favorite vices, she includes: iced latte’s, historical architecture and well-placed sarcasm. She lives colorfully, collects vintage books, art, loves flea markets, and fancies herself British.
I was introduced to Sara, figuratively, through her How to Date a Douchebag series (which will one day be featured in my Series Spotlight, mark my words). The series is hilarious and plays on every girls love of a bad boy, although there is a female douchebag in the series which I freaking love.
Sara is the type of person that you instantly feel a connection with because she’s so open about herself on social media. I know that she has an amazing relationship with her local Starbucks baristas, has an insane collection of life-size cardboard cutouts that includes Ricky Martin, Justin Bieber, and Fabio, and loves Kanken backpacks.
She’s silly and goofy in a real way that you seldom see anymore and through all of that I’ve come to love not just her books but also her. There’s something inherently satisfying about reading a book by someone you admire because you’re rooting for them to do well.
Do you have an author that makes you feel that way? Please let me know!
