Book Review: How To Date A Douchebag: The Learning Hours by Sara Ney

He’s not a douchebag;

but that doesn’t stop his friends from

turning him into one.

Rating: 5/5

Short and Sweet Summary: Read this book. Don’t hesitate, don’t question me, JUST DO IT, but only if you want to of course.

Genre: Sports Romance

My Review:

…if there is one thing I’m learning about [ENTER MYSTERY MAIN CHARACTER HERE], it’s that I can count on him. He’s steady and strong and dependable; I know it from the bottom of my soul. He has qualities I’m coming to realize are more valuable than blatant sexual appeal.

You guys. YOU GUYS. I have not stopped gushing about this book since I finished it last week. I’ve been restraining myself and limiting my posts to Ney’s Little Liars, Sara Ney’s Facebook group. Now, there’s been lots of mystery surrounding who the main characters for this book are and I’m going to keep it that way, so unfortunately this review will be a little vague.

I trust no one.
Everything inside me screams not to trust her either.
I fight an internal war daily as my desire for her spreads like a wildfire through me -my cravings to protect her just as powerful as my need to taste her, touch her. Never has anyone held this kind of power over my need to rule, but I would risk my power in a heartbeat to have her.Regardless of the cost, I will have her. I’ll sacrifice everything to ensure it.

And, I’ll destroy anyone who stands in my way.

New Release: Drunk Dial by Penelope Ward

From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.

It seemed like a good idea at the time. Look up Landon Roderick, that boy from childhood whom I’d never been able to forget—even though he so easily forgot about me—and call him.

Then again, anything sounds like a good idea when you’ve had a little too much wine before bed, right? It was supposed to be just a quick, meaningless, prank call. Instead, I went off on him—unloading thirteen years of pent-up emotions.

I didn’t think he’d call me back.

Rating: 4.5/5 Bookworms

Short and Sweet Summary: A community is shocked when an affluent author beats his wife until she is comatose and one question rises above the rest: why?

Genre: Suspense

My Review:

Apparently, I have been harboring bitterness, resentment, and frustration since my childhood. Now, there’s a surprise. What will the neighbors think? What will anybody think? I really couldn’t care less.

Told in multiple perspectives, this book starts with a bang and keeps people desperate for more. We first meet Oliver when he first hits his wife after she confronts him with something that he has been hiding for decades, what we don’t know. He guards his secrets closely and we don’t find out who he really is and what his secrets are until the very end.
